Ingredients

Serving:

  • Fresh Chopped Chives
  • Tortilla Chips

Instructions

  • Place freshly squeezed lemon juice into a bowl or measuring jug and add crushed garlic. Let the garlic soak in the lemon juice for a few minutes.
  • Add mayonnaise, greek yogurt (or sour cream), milk, garlic powder, onion powder, fresh chopped chives, sea salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, vinegar and the garlic and lemon juice into a bowl.
  • Mix together until well mixed.
  • Decorate with fresh chopped chives and serve with chips or raw veggies for dipping.

Notes

  1. Soak the raw garlic in the lemon juice. The first time we made this recipe we skipped this step and the dip was still good but the garlic was SO potent. It was just a little too strong. Soaking it in the lemon juice for a couple of minutes first takes the bite out of it, but keeps all that beautiful flavor.
  2. Fresh chives - are the best to make the flavors really pop but dried chives also work.
  3. Storing. Keep your garlic dip stored in an airtight container in the fridge and enjoy within 3-4 days. If any separation occurs just stir it up again. It's not freezer friendly.
  4. Nutritional information is for the dip only and excludes chips.
