Oreo Ice Cream

This cookies and cream oreo ice cream is the easiest ice cream ever! Only 3-ingredients needed for the creamiest dreamiest ice cream of your dreams!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Heavy Cream or Whipping Cream Cold
  • 14 ounces Sweetened Condensed Milk Canned
  • 16 Oreo Cookies Divided

Instructions

With an Ice Cream Maker:

  • Whip the cream until it reaches the stiff peaks stage. Fold in the condensed milk.
  • Churn in your ice cream machine until it reaches a soft serve consistency.
  • Break up 12 of the oreo cookies into pieces and add them in with the ice cream in the last couple of minutes of churning and let them churn with the ice cream for a couple of minutes to mix in.
  • Transfer to a loaf pan and smooth down. Break up the remaining 4 oreo cookies into pieces and sprinkle them over the top of the ice cream.
  • Cover with foil and freeze.

Without An Ice Cream Maker:

  • Whip the cream until it reaches the stiff peaks stage. Fold in the condensed milk.
  • Break up 12 of the oreo cookies into pieces and fold them in.
  • Transfer to a loaf pan and smooth down. Break up the remaining 4 oreo cookies into pieces and sprinkle them over the top of the ice cream.
  • Cover with foil and freeze.

Notes

  1. Break up the cookies with your hands so that they are in pieces and not crumbs. 
  2. The difference between using an ice cream machine or not in this recipe is very small and subtle. If you have an ice cream machine you might as well use it, as it results in a 'slightly' more light and fluffy texture but the difference is probably in single digit percentage points, so if you don't have an ice cream machine, this recipe is still ideal with a wonderful result. 
  3. The prep time listed includes churning the ice cream. So if you're using the no-churn method, this would be reduced to about 15 minutes in total.
