Ingredients You’ll Need For This Sauce:

Ingredient Notes
- Butter – can be salted or unsalted. It won’t make any big difference.
- Parmesan cheese – this should be freshly grated parmesan cheese. Don’t buy pre-grated parmesan cheese for this or it won’t melt into the sauce as nicely.
- Fresh garlic and garlic powder – using both in this sauce makes the garlic flavor really pop.

How To Serve Alfredo Sauce
The best way to serve alfredo sauce is over your favorite pasta. Fettucine and tagliatelle are both good options, but any pasta will do great turning this into a wonderful meal.
Top it with some freshly chopped parsley and a sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper. Some no-knead focaccia on the side is always a winner too.

Recipe FAQ
A traditional Italian alfredo sauce is made with just butter and cheese so this is not a traditional recipe at all. This recipe is American-style using heavy cream, garlic and other spices.
The sauce itself is gluten free already so if you serve it with gluten free pasta you’ll be all set.
Keep leftover sauce stored in the fridge and enjoy within 4-5 days.
