Ingredients You’ll Need To Make Nice Cream:

Ingredient Notes
- Oreo cookies – you can use Oreo cookies or any other chocolate sandwich cookies of your choice.
- Frozen bananas – you’ll need 4-5 medium frozen bananas. Ideally, if you have extra ripe bananas on hand at any time, peel them, slice them and freeze them in a freezer safe bag so that they’re on hand any time you want to make nice cream (or use them in smoothies!)
- Cashew butter – adds tons of creaminess to the recipe with a fairly neutral flavor. You can replace this with a different nut butter but it will alter the flavor.

How To Make Cookies and Cream Nice Cream
Full instructions and measurements can always be found in the recipe card at the bottom of the post. This is a summary of the process to go along with the process photos.
- Peel, slice and freeze your bananas. Place them into a freezer bag and freeze them overnight. The best way is just to keep a stock of frozen banana in your freezer so it’s ready for making smoothies or nice cream.
- Break up the Oreo cookies into pieces by hand. Make sure there are no tiny crumbs or they will blend into the ice cream and change the color of the ice cream. You want nice chunks of broken up Oreos.

- Add the frozen banana pieces to the food processor and process. It will make a lot of noise as the bananas break up.

- When the bananas are broken up into small pieces, add the cashew butter and continue to process, stopping the food processor regularly to scrape down the sides and break up any clumps that form. Continue until it smooths out and becomes a creamy soft serve consistency.

- Add approximately two thirds of the Oreo pieces and pulse blend briefly just to mix them in, without breaking them up very much.

- Serve immediately topped with the remaining third of the Oreo pieces.

Recipe Tips
Make it in the food processor. I highly recommend making this in the food processor and not the blender. It’s much harder in the blender and may burn it out if you don’t have a powerful model. Whereas it’s much easier in the food processor even if you don’t have a very powerful model.
Serve immediately for the best texture. This cookies and cream nice cream has the best texture when served right away. It is like the most delicious velvety soft serve. You can transfer it to a loaf pan and freeze it for later, but the texture is just not as good.
