    Haydari Dip

This haydari recipe is made with thick Greek yogurt, feta cheese and fresh herbs for a rich, creamy and ultra delicious dip or sauce.

Haydari topped with a drizzle of olive oil in a white bowl.

Haydari is a Turkish yogurt dip usually served as part of a Turkish meze platter. It’s fantastic served with pita breads and can be served as a dip or a sauce.

It’s a wonderfully fresh tasting recipe with the addition of fresh mint leaves and fresh dill. It reminds me of tzatziki which is a firm favorite.

It’s extremely easy to make and can be ready in 10 minutes or less. So, let’s get started!

Ingredients You’ll Need For Haydari Dip:

    Ingredients for haydari.

    Ingredient Notes

    • Greek yogurt – the base of this recipe is thick creamy Greek yogurt. You definitely want a full fat, extremely thick and creamy Greek yogurt for the best results.
    • Feta cheese – must also be full fat. Don’t choose low fat options for this recipe.
    • Olive oil – is drizzled over the top. Extra virgin olive oil is the best tasting option.

    Serving Suggestions

Haydari makes a wonderful dip served with pita breads and fresh raw veggies for dipping. You can serve it alongside other appetizers like hummus or baba ganoush for a full Mediterranean spread.

It makes a wonderful sauce or topping, and goes wonderfully with zucchini fritters or potato fritters.

    Make Ahead and Storing

You can make haydari ahead of time, as the flavors get even better after chilling for a few hours in the fridge.

Keep it stored in a covered container in the fridge and consume within 3-4 days. It’s not freezer friendly.
